Arkansas House Bill #1004 (Act #4) The tax on shale gas: see Line 17 on page 7 - "the severance tax rate shall be one and one-half percent..." - hmmm... that's only one-third of five percent. The money for the environment: see Line 5 page 8 "five percent of the funds shall be deposited as general revenues" - does "general revenues" sound like something that will be spent on environmental protection like we were told by Governor Beebe? click here for full bill (pdf) |
